BCB President Hassan officially announces women’s team's tour of Pakistan
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan has officially announced the women's cricket team's tour of Pakistan.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports had earlier cleared the tour.
The team will fly out on either Sunday or Monday, Hassan told reporters at his home on Thursday.
"Bangladesh
women's cricket team will get the security of the president in the
Pakistan tour. BCB director will be there among others during the tour.
"BCB's Senior Vice President Mahbubul Anam, too, will be present during the games."
Hassan said the girls might only play in Lahore this time around but Karachi, too, is enlisted as a possible venue.
"Our
security team visited Pakistan's Lahore and Karachi. They are satisfied
with situations there, but advised (the authorities) to take some extra
precaution."
The Ministry of Youth and Sports sent a letter to
the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Tuesday, giving the go-ahead and Joint
Secretary Zakir Ahmed told bdnews24.com that the team was supposed to
visit Pakistan after the Eid.
A government orders had been issued in this connection, he added.

Media & Communications chief Jalal Yunus said after returning to
the country the board president would hold a meeting with the board and
affiliates and take the final decision.
