বৃহস্পতিবার মেলবোর্ন ক্রিকেট গ্রাউন্ড বা এমসিজিতে ম্যাচটি শুরু হবে বাংলাদেশ সময় সকাল সাড়ে নয়টায়। 
কোয়ার্টার-ফাইনালে খেলতে হলে স্কটল্যান্ড ম্যাচে জয় ধরে শ্রীলঙ্কা, ইংল্যান্ড ও নিউ জিল্যান্ডের মধ্যে যে কোনো একটি দলকে হারাতেই হবে বাংলাদেশের। নিজেদের চাপমুক্ত রাখতে শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষেই জয় তুলে নিতে চাইবে তারা।
এমসিজিতে প্রথমবারের মতো খেলতে যাচ্ছে বাংলাদেশ। অন্য দিকে মেলবোর্নের এই মাঠে এর আগে ১৭টি ম্যাচ খেলে শ্রীলঙ্কা, যার ছয়টিতে জয় রয়েছে তাদের।
আফগানিস্তানের বিপক্ষে ১০৫ রানের জয়ে বিশ্বকাপ অভিযানের শুরুটা দারুণ হয় বাংলাদেশের। বৃষ্টির তাণ্ডবে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে তাদের পরের ম্যাচটি পরিত্যক্ত হয়।
৩ পয়েন্ট নিয়ে ‘এ’ গ্রুপে তিন নম্বরে রয়েছে বাংলাদেশ। অন্য দিকে, নিউ জিল্যান্ডের কাছে বিধ্বস্ত হওয়া শ্রীলঙ্কা পরের ম্যাচে আফগানিস্তানকে হারায় অনেক ঘাম ঝরিয়ে।
বিশ্বকাপের তৃতীয় প্রতিপক্ষ শ্রীলঙ্কাকে খুব ভালো করে চেনে বাংলাদেশ। এই দলটির বিপক্ষে খেলা ৩৭ ম্যাচের চারটিতে জয় রয়েছে তাদের। অন্য ৩২টি ম্যাচে জিতে শ্রীলঙ্কা, একটি ম্যাচ পরিত্যক্ত হয়।
শুরুতে শ্রীলঙ্কার সঙ্গে খুব একটা প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করতে না পারলেও তাদের সঙ্গে পার্থক্য এখন কমিয়ে এনেছে বাংলাদেশ। গত বছর শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে কয়েক ম্যাচে খুব কাছে গিয়ে হারে তারা।
বাংলাদেশের কয়েকজন কোচ শ্রীলঙ্কার সাবেক খেলোয়াড়। বাংলাদেশের অধিনায়ক মাশরাফি বিন মুর্তজা জানান, চন্দিকা হাথুরুসিংহেরা শ্রীলঙ্কাকে হারাতে পরিকল্পনা আঁটছেন। কোচদের দেয়া পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়ন করতে পারলে জেতা অসম্ভব নয়।
জয় ছাড়া আরো কিছুই ভাবছে না বাংলাদেশ। মাশরাফি জানান, পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়ন করতে পারলে জেতা সম্ভব। পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী খেলাই হবে এই ম্যাচে তাদের প্রধান কাজ।
এমসিজির উইকেটে বোলারদের জন্য তেমন কোনো সহায়তা নেই। রান উৎসব হতে পারে এই ম্যাচেও। তাই ব্যাটসম্যানদের কাছ থেকে ভালো শুরু চাইলেন মাশরাফি।
মেলবোর্নের বিশাল মাঠে চার-ছক্কা কম হতে পারে। তাই এক-দুই রানের দিকে বেশি গুরুত্ব দেয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন বাংলাদেশের বোলিং কোচ হিথ স্ট্রিক।
শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে উইকেটের পেছনে দাঁড়াতে পারেন এনামুল হক। ব্যাট করতে কোনো সমস্যা হচ্ছে না আঙুলে চোট পাওয়া মুশফিকুর রহিমের। তবে উইকেটের পেছনে তিনি দাঁড়াবেন কি না জানতে আরো অপেক্ষা করতে বাংলাদেশকে।
আফগানিস্তানের বিপক্ষে আট ব্যাটসম্যান নিয়ে খেলেছিল বাংলাদেশ। শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে একজন ব্যাটসম্যান কমাতে পারে বাংলাদেশ। সাকিব আল হাসানের সঙ্গে স্পিন আক্রমণে যুক্ত হতে পারেন তাইজুল ইসলাম বা আরাফাত সানি।
মাশরাফির বিশ্বাস, শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষেও ভালো করবেন বাংলাদেশের পেসাররা। রুবেল হোসেন ও তাসকিন আহমেদের গতি মেলবোর্নেও দলকে সাফল্য এনে দিতে পারে।
“মাত্র এক ম্যাচ খেলেই আলোচনায় চলে এসেছে রুবেল, তাসকিন। ওরা বেশ জোরে বল করতে পারে।”
লাসিথ মালিঙ্গা, সুরঙ্গা লাকমাল, রঙ্গনা হেরাথ সমৃদ্ধ শ্রীলঙ্কার বোলিং লাইনআপকে ভয় পাচ্ছে না বাংলাদেশ। চোট কাটিয়ে ফেরার পর এখনো ছন্দে খুঁজে পাননি মালিঙ্গা। ছন্দে না থাকা এই পেসারের জন্যও পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে বাংলাদেশের।
মাহেলা জয়াবর্ধনে, তিলকারত্নে দিলশান বা চারশতম ওয়ানডে খেলতে যাওয়া কুমার সাঙ্গাকারাদের নিয়ে ভেবে নিজেদের ওপর চাপ বাড়াচ্ছে না বাংলাদেশ।
শ্রীলঙ্কার দুই অলরাউন্ডার অ্যাঞ্জেলো ম্যাথিউস ও থিসারা পেরেরারাও হতে পারেন বাংলাদেশের জন্য হুমকি। পয়মন্ত মাঠে বাংলাদেশের বিপক্ষে নিজের সেরাটা দিতে চাওয়ার কথা আগেই জানিয়ে রেখেছেন থিসারা।
অধিনায়ক ম্যাথিউস জানান, বিশ্বকাপের এই ম্যাচ দুই দলের জন্যই চাপের হতে যাচ্ছে। জিততে হলে নিজেদের সেরা ক্রিকেটই খেলতে হবে এই ম্যাচে।
ক্যানবেরার ম্যানুকা ওভালে প্রচুর সমর্থক ছিল বাংলাদেশের। মেলবোর্নে চিত্রটা বিপরীত হতে পারে। গ্যালারিতে শ্রীলঙ্কার ভক্তরাই এগিয়ে থাকবে। তবে মাশরাফির বিশ্বাস, অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে বাংলাদেশের প্রচুর সমর্থক আসবে।
মাশরাফি জানান, আল-আমিন কাণ্ডের কোনো প্রভাব বাংলাদেশ দলে পড়বে না। এই ঘটনা পেছনে ফেলে সামনের দিকে তাকাতে চায় বাংলাদেশ। শ্রীলঙ্কাকে হারিয়ে দলের বিতর্কতে পেছনে ফেলতে চায় তারা।

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza has said his side are not disturbed by their defeat against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup ahead of their meeting at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday.

"We've played only one match... yes, we couldn't beat them in last Asia cup, but I don't think that it bothers us," said Mashrafe at the official pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

When asked if he thought it was unfair to be compared to newcomers like Afghanistan, he said, "I don't think so because comparisons can (be made). Anybody can do it. But it depends how we take it."

"...we respect them not for that they're beginners, we respect them (like we do) all the countries."

Pressure in a World Cup match is natural but the 31-year-old pacer is reluctant to take additional pressure.

"It is unnecessary to take extra pressure simply considering Afghanistan. We are quite capable of beating better teams."

Ireland registered the first upset of the 2015 World Cup beating the West Indies on Monday. Mashrafe sees the upset as an inspiration rather than a concern.

Mashrafe pins his hopes on opener Tamim Iqbal, who has recently recovered from an injury after a surgery on his left knee.

"He (Tamim) was on rehabilitation after he came here (Australia). He is mentally strong. It doesn't seem he's had any problem."

The explosive opener scored 81 in the warmup match against Pakistan.

The Tigers are used to playing on spinning wickets at home but pitches in Australia and New Zealand are more helpful to pacers.

"I think back home the wicket is favoured by all the spinners so we rely on them, but we have some very good quicks.

"Yes, they're still young, but they have the potential and hopefully they'll do their job… our spinners, I feel that they're world class and they can bowl on any wicket."

The Bangladesh captain holds the youngsters in the team in high regards.

"I have confidence in the youngsters of the team.”

Bangladesh have a young side for the 11th edition of the game's showcase event, with nine players in the squad in line to make debut in the World Cup.

Anamul Haque, Mominul Haque, Soumya Sarkar, Nasir Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Arafat Sunny, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed are all taking part in the World Cup for the first time.

While Messi continued to rewrite the record books with another masterclass, third-placed Atletico Madrid's hopes of a second straight title were dealt a blow when the champions were beaten 2-0 at mid-table Celta Vigo.

Atletico were missing creative midfield pair Koke and Arda Turan and looked a shadow of the side that thrashed Real 4-0 at the Calderon last weekend.

Their reverse at Celta's Balaidos stadium in Galicia left them six points behind Barca and seven adrift of Real, who won 2-0 at home to promoted Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

Messi has been on electric form in recent weeks and his pinpoint cross set up Neymar to put Barca 1-0 ahead in the 17th minute at the Nou Camp.

The Brazil forward skewed his close-range volley but the ball looped up over Levante goalkeeper Diego Marino into the net.

Barca doubled their lead seven minutes before halftime when centre back Marc Bartra won the ball near the Levante penalty area and threaded a pass through to Messi for the Argentina captain to score with a low shot.

Barca were utterly dominant against their 19th-placed opponents and Messi made it 3-0 in the 59th minute after neat work from Sergio Busquets and Pedro.

Messi completed his 23rd La Liga hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, giving him a share of the record set by Real’s Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this season.

Messi has 31 trebles in all competitions for Barca, tying the record for a Spanish club held by former Athletic Bilbao forward Telmo Zarra, while Ronaldo has 27 for Real.

Messi's latest hat-trick took the four-times World Player of the Year’s tally in Spain’s top flight to a record-extending 269 goals and the 27-year-old's total for the latest La Liga campaign to 26, two fewer than top scorer Ronaldo.

Luis Suarez came off the bench to crown a fine Barca performance with a cracking bicycle kick to make it 5-0 in the 73rd minute and Messi came close to a fourth but was denied by a fine Marino save four minutes from time.

It was Barca's 11th consecutive victory in all competitions, matching their best run under decorated former coach Pep Guardiola at the end of 2008.

"I didn't know we had matched that record but it doesn't interest me," current coach Luis Enrique told a news conference.

"We will make our evaluations at the end of the season and if we win titles it will be great," added the former Barca and Spain midfielder.

Wild kick

Atletico fell behind when Mario Suarez conceded a penalty for a foul on Celta forward Nolito in the 57th minute.

Nolito, who also scored from the spot in Celta's 2-2 draw at Atletico in September, stroked the ball past Sergio Asenjo and Fabian Orellana made it 2-0 in the 71st minute with a powerful low strike.

Antoine Griezmann had come close to scoring for the visitors in the 67th minute when Celta keeper Sergio Alvarez diverted his shot onto a post but that was about as good as it got for Diego Simeone's off-colour side.

Valencia reclaimed La Liga's fourth Champions League qualification berth from Sevilla when forward Alvaro Negredo won and converted a penalty in a 1-0 victory at home to Getafe.

Negredo, who is on loan at the Singapore-owned club from Manchester City, was felled by a wild kick from Juan Antonio Rodriguez in the 70th minute at a sun-drenched Mestalla.

He picked himself up and clipped a confident spot kick high into the middle of the goal to lift Valencia to 47 points from 23 matches, two ahead of fifth-placed Sevilla, who won 3-0 at struggling Cordoba on Saturday.

Villarreal, who are sixth on 41 points, failed to score in an away game for only the second time this season when they were beaten 2-0 at mid-table Rayo Vallecano.

“ওরা ইতিবাচক, ওরা কিছু করতে চায়। ওরা ভালো অবস্থায় আছে। ওরা যদি এটা ধরে রাখতে পারে, আশা করি, ওরা ভালো করবে।

Shilhar Dhawan (73) and Virat Kohli (107) set a new Indian record against Pakistan in a World Cup match, adding 129 runs for the second wicket. The previous best partnership for the reigning world champions in cricket's showpiece event, was 102.� Both men battled poor form and severe criticism to help India win the Adelaide ODI by 76 runs. Kohli and Dhawan combined with India placed nervously on 34/1 in 7.3 overs but the two Delhi batsmen were determined to prove their critics wrong.
Dhawan chose the biggest stage of his career to shrug off a poor run of form, slamming a half-century on World Cup debut. Dhawan, whose place in the playing XI had come under question after a series of failures overseas, was solid against the pace of Mohammad Irfan and Sohail despite the early loss of his opening partner.�
In more thrilling news for India, an out-of-form Kohli also bounced back, slamming his 34th ODI half-century before racing his way to the three-figure mark - an effort which earned him the man-of-the-match award. Kohli was in the midst of a lean phase but experts like Sunil Gavaskar had backed him, saying he was too good a player to keep missing out for too long.
India chose to bat and looked confident from the outset, showing no signs of nerves against their oldest nemesis in international cricket. Dhawan looked composed and with Rohit, fired the world champions off to a solid start before the latter perished to Sohail with the score on 34. The bowler would go on to claim a fifer.

Dhawan used his feet well and played shots on both sides of the wicket and showed great technique to negate the steep bounce from Irfan, who stands tall at 7ft 1 inch. Together with Kohli, he milked the Pakistani attack which looked clearly under pressure.
Kohli was also in poor form leading to the World Cup, scoring in single digits in four successive ODIs before failing in the warm-ups against Australia and Afghanistan. There was talk of sending the Indian vice-captain at Number 4 in case of an early loss of wicket but the team-management sent him up at No. 3, his regular spot. Suresh Raina had said Kohli would be ready for the big stage and indeed he was, reaching his landmark off 60 deliveries.
The duo, both from Delhi, had earlier reportedly been involved in a heated discussion over batting positions during the Brisbane Test, which India lost late last year.

This one comes directly from the title of the movie. List-based articles (listicles) provide a great way to deliver your message in a structured and engaging way. Keep them short and easy to read to grab the attention of your visitors.

3. When Harry Met Sally… - Make your content memorable 

When you ask someone what they remember about this movie, it’s highly likely that they will respond with one of several key scenes. Why? Because the film masterfully creates scenes that are both embarrassing and hilarious, making them very easy to recall. When you’re creating your content, ask yourself “Does this content have at least one memorable moment? Is there something that will stick with the my visitor?"

ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে অসাধারণ খেলে ২০১২ সালে অস্ট্রেলিয়া জাতীয় দলে সুযোগ পান ম্যাক্সওয়েল। তবে ৪২টি ওয়ানডে খেলে ৩১.৬৮ গড়ে রান তোলা ম্যাক্সওয়েল তার নামের প্রতি সুবিচার করতে পারেননি।
বিশ্বকাপের আগে ভারতের বিপক্ষে শেষ প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচে সহজাত ঝলক অবশ্য দেখান ম্যাক্সওয়েল। ৫৭ বলে ১১টি চার ও ৮টি ছয়ে ১২২ রান করে অবসর নেন তিনি।

এরপর ইংল্যান্ডের বিপক্ষে বিশ্বকাপের প্রথম ম্যাচে ৪০ বলে ৬৬ রান করেন ম্যাক্সওয়েল। ইনিংসটিতে ১১টি চারও মারেন তিনি।অস্ট্রেলিয়ার সমর্থকরা অবশ্য এতেও সন্তুষ্ট নয়। তারা আরও বড় কিছু চায়। আর সেই বড় কিছু বাংলাদেশের বিপক্ষেই আসুক, এটাই তাদের চাওয়া।
